Tessie Ledesma grew up in Mercedes, Texas and is a proud alumni of Texas A&M University - Kingsville. She graduated in 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and a Masters of Business Administration in 2019. She currently works as the Communications Specialist for New Student Services at the University of Texas at Austin. 

 

While a student at Texas A&M University Kingsville, she was a member of the Javelina Sapphire Dance Team for 4 years and was the dance coach from 2020 - 2022.

Tessie has always had a passion for competing in pageants and, as a result, has earned various titles through the years. She was Miss Texas 2021-2022 for the North America pageant system, which allowed her to compete for the prestigious title of Miss North America in Orlando, Florida, where she placed in the Top 10. She was recently crowned Miss Texas United States International 2023-2024 and placed 2nd runner up at Miss United States Tourism International in Orlando, Florida this past July!

 
Tessie is a lover of lavender honey lattes and works as a part time barista on the weekends. She is also the proud author of her first children's book, Polly The Possum! Tessie is the CEO of Versatile Athletics, which is a sports performance company. In her free time, Tessie enjoys attending author meet and greet events, sharing Polly's story with her community, working on finalizing her non-profit organization called "Empower Women". She also enjoys volunteering with the Coastal Bend Food Bank, volunteering with the Animal Advocates Foster Group where she fosters dogs, and she loves to travel the country which is reflected in her personal lifestyle & travel blog, Active and Ambitious.
