Miss Texas United States International Accountability Plan

A business plan is a GPS. A good one guides you through each stage from begin to end.

The following map breaks down the plan that I will execute as Miss Texas United States International 2023-2024!

First 7 Days

  • Email current sponsors/partners with introduction of myself

  • Produce social media content with introduction of myself

  • Coordinate media interviews to get organization's pageant message & my platform message across 

  • Meet with my director to go over my plans/her plans for my reign and develop a master plan, together.

Within 3 Months

  • Work to represent the underrepresented communities in South Texas and be a voice for them 

  • Team up with local animal shelter and eventually branch out to animal shelters across the state to raise awareness for the need of supplies, donations, and volunteers

  • Work with foster and rescue groups to not only raise money but to also raise awareness to people needed to open their homes up for pups that may need just a couple more weeks of time before going to a forever home

  • Continue "Tessie's Treats" which will be a baking event I will host for my family, friends, and community to bake dog treats and donate to local animal shelters

  • Fundraise for nationals

Within 9 Months

  • Organize recruitment workshops for new Miss Texas North America/USI candidates 

  • Partner with local police department/crime stoppers to help surviving families of domestic violence get back on their feel/provide meals and toys

  • Host Empower Women workshops and give out small scholarships at each one and gift business clothes to women who attend

  • Make "Keep High Point Beautiful" legacy project which will work to get volunteers together on a given Saturday every month and work to reduce litter, clean highways, plant/maintain gardens

Within 30 Days

  • Team up with special olympics to promote inclusion across our community and state

  • Begin working with local libraries, book stores, and coffee shops to read Polly The Possum to children & promote the book's message

  • ​Organize a 5K run/walk to benefit diabetes association and promote health​

  • Partner with local community food banks and raise awareness for the need of volunteers at food banks

Within 6 Months

  • Organize school events promoting self-love/anti-bullying campaign

  • Host five free workout sessions at local park to invite members of the community to come in and workout in an attempt to promote physical health and fitness

  • Partner with local and corporate businesses to set up clothing donation bins at their location(s) and collect gently used business attire for women to be donated to surviving women of domestic violence/low income communities to build a career wardrobe

  • Host toy drive at children's hospital

Within 1 year/Full Reign

  • Finalize statewide legacy project for Polly The Possum

  • Raise $2,000 in scholarships for Empower Women​​

  • Work to ensure that all legacy projects are sustained and will be maintained after my reign is over with the next queens, if they are open to continuing my projects/working with me on them and parterning up for network and exposure

  • Host 2nd annual Self Love Tea Party for young girls

Representing Austin, Texas

Tessie Ledesma moved to Austin, Texas in May of 2023 to fulfill her new job responsibilities as a Communications Specialist for The University of Texas at Austin. Tessie was instantly inspired and motivated by the local community she met and continues to meet. Her goal is to give back to the community and aims to do this by making a difference by motivating others through service, leaving her mark/legacy, and spreading her platform's message.
